ABOUT THIS SPACE
who I am
As a brown girl activist (who should probably describe herself as a woman by now), I’ve spent my whole adult life trying to create change but not taking up space. In conversations. In relationships. On the bus. But speaking with strangers on the internet made me realise I wasn’t alone - there are more of us than meets society’s eye.
So, in 2020, with the world dizzyingly out of control, I decided to take up space.
Inspired by Bernadine Evaristo’s beautiful novel, girl woman activist is a 21st-century collage of intentional thought, musings and guilt.
This space is open, intersectional and trans-inclusive.
